LEVELBasic Understanding

As service members, military spouses, and veterans we are often accustomed to the rules of participating in our military community but haven’t always been afforded the opportunity to learn the best ways to network outside of our insular way of life. Unfortunately, this leaves many members of the military-affiliated community without the tools needed to effectively interact with professionals in other sectors who may be influential in our career trajectories. Building a network filled with experts and mentors can open doors that may propel your career to new levels. This panel discussion will bring together thought leaders from various fields to share their experience with networking and mentorship so that you can understand how to build your own path to success.

I'm a USMC spouse, mom of 3, and Licensed Social Worker. I work full time as a Program Manager at HireMilitary, a SDVOSB who since 2017 has helped organizations thrive by connecting them with diverse Military talent while empowering Transitioning Service Members, Veterans, and Military Spouses to find meaningful careers. I am also the Partnerships & Outreach Manager for the Military Spouse Advocacy Network. I am incredibly passionate about supporting our military and veteran communities and I am in the process of finishing my Ph.D. in Integrative Social Work with a focus on Military & Veteran families.
