Military spouses often find themselves in the midst of transitions. From PCS moves to final transitions from the military spouses are often expected to fill in the gap and carry the burden of finding normalcy throughout these transitions. This session will discuss the challenges of transition, keeping your own identity, providing self-care, and maintaining a successful career. Amy will share with you her journey and the work that the COMMIT Foundation is doing to help spouses across the nation flourish in the midst of transition. After completing this session you will be able to create a streamlined resume, tell your narrative in a manner that showcases your expertise and identify your core values as you move forward.

Amy brings over 10 years of experience in Military transition training and 17 years of experience in workforce development training. Amy has a strong background in adult learning and uses this knowledge to advance the learning environment in a manner that drives people towards success. Amy was a member of the inaugural cohort of the Bush Institute Veteran Stand to Leadership program. She currently works for The COMMIT Foundation and has previously worked with the Institute for Veteran and Military Families and the USMC Marine for Life program. Amy is married to a Navy Veteran, has two daughters, and resides in North Carolina. Amy’s passion for learning and connecting with people fuels her desire to see all people become the best version of themselves. Amy has a Masters of Education with an emphasis on Curriculum and Learning from Liberty University and a Doctorate of Education from Liberty University.
